Description

ATC Group Services LLC (ATC) is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience developing and implementing successful strategic growth plans for an environmental or engineering consulting firm. This position will work closely with the Regional Vice President, Branch Managers, Practice Group Leaders, Business Development staff in other regions, Proposal Managers, Marketing staff and National Account Program personnel to develop and execute an effective sales strategy to achieve local and regional revenue and operating income goals.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute a business development plan to expand our public and private client base.
  • Identify industry trends, key developments and competitive landscape for ATC services; recommend and implement strategy to maximize competitive advantage.
  • Identify opportunities for service bundling, new service development and service enhancements to expand offerings.
  • Monitor changing technical trends or regulatory changes that could present business opportunities.
  • Collaborate across Branches to exchange information such as technical strengths, selling strategies and marketing intelligence.
  • Build a strong network, actively manage marketing campaigns to attract new accounts.
  • Prequalify sales leads and maintain status of all new business opportunities in a CRM database.
  • Represent ATC at industry-related conferences, exhibitions, associations, and functions.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for clients.
  • Generate proposals, determine “go/no-go”, and coordinate professional service agreements for new clients.
  • Manage projects and/or programs as required.
  • Lead major proposal and SOQ efforts, working closely with our technical leads, participate in short-list interviews.
  • Promote and encourage cross selling among staff.
  • Provide monthly update of sales efforts and KPls to Regional VP and Branch Manager.
  • Prepare annual sales forecast and establish sales goals.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of all ATC services and programs.
  • Identify potential liabilities associated with each potential client, market and proposal opportunity and communicate those to Regional VP and Los Angeles Branch Manager.
  • Abide by ATC’s health and safety policies and procedures.
 
Position Requirements

Basic qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years in project and client management experience with increasing levels of direct sales and sales management expertise.
  • Degree in business, engineering, or science field or greater than 10 years’ experience in project and client management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office®, CRM, Internet Research.
  • Excellent leadership and client management skills.
  • Effective technical writing, strong oral communication, presentation and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organization and project objectives.
  • Exhibits attention to detail, and able to work under periodic time constraints.
  • Willingness to travel regionally for short periods of time.
  • A Valid Drivers License
  • Professional registration/certification in a relevant discipline preferred.
