Responsible for sales of commodity products in the Region (volume and variable margin) and management of commodity sales rep(s) in the Region.
Develop and maintain contact with customers to grow commodity volume and variable margin. Develop sales strategy to achieve the company's annual budget objectives for FFS commodity volume and variable margin. Coordinate sales efforts with region sales management and National Distributor Team.
Manage all pricing for commodity items for the region. Review daily sales volume and profit performance of the region and customers. Report performance to the VP of Commodity Sales monthly & semi-annually.
Support and develop Commodity Sales Rep(s). Work with them on sales planning, execution, and portfolio management.
Work with with Oil Trading for booking contracts, buying basis, and learning market and crop conditions. Report competitive market conditions to RVPs, Regional Sales Managers, & Region Account Managers.
Coordinate annual budgeting activity for the region and subsequent sales strategy by geography, customer, and product category.
Manage Cost Rolls and Demand Price Lists so region pricing is representative of market conditions and profit initiatives; requires pricing decisions in accordance with changes in commodity ingredient cost.
Maintain communication with VP of Commodity Sales and Margin Management Department on status of sales initiatives & RFPs.
Support sales of commodity products to regional chain accounts through working with CAMs. Provide market intelligence and contracting services to these accounts.
Communicate with Customer Service, Credit, and Accounts Receivable to endure efficient handling of the region's customers' needs.
Manage one or more buying group corporate relationship and one or more corporate account relationship which spans multiple Ventura sales geographies.
