Description

Summary Objective

This position will be responsible for the development of System and network engineering designs for IT projects. The position will research, analyze, evaluate and integrate as necessary new and emerging technologies in order to find ways to deliver a superior IT environment to the customer in a cost effective and secure manner. This position will support the continuing goal of incorporating these innovative technologies into the Department's equipment modernization program. This person will be responsible for security management, exchange administrator and management of the SQL server environment.

  • Supports EMC and other disk environments from engineering and administrative sides.

Systems Engineer

  • Daily Maintenance for servers
  • Change Management for applications
  • Patch management
  • System Design
  • Production Troubleshooting
  • Mainframe and Client Server Printing systems - Design and implementation.
  • Mainframe Hardware
  • Microsoft Active Directory support

SQL DBA

  • Management of SQL server environment

VMware Architect

  • Design/Build/Manage all aspects of VMWare EST/vSphere and View environments

Data Center Design

  • Design system/network/power/cooling/cable of data center.

Exchange Administrator

  • Manage all aspects of email systems.

BizTalk Administrator

  • Manage all aspects of BizTalk environment.

Phone System Engineer

  • Build/Manage Telephone and Call Center infrastructure and software

Security System Architect/Admin

  • Building Access systems and controls
  • Camera Systems

Facility Engineer - managing the following for facilities

  • Network and Cabling.
  • Power/Electrical.
  • Painting
  • Construction

Purchasing

  • Handles the purchasing of all IT products.

Production System Development/Support

  • Responsible for the software used to pay taxing authorities, maintain and write code.

Disaster Recovery

  • Responsible for design/implementation of IT disaster recovery solutions.
  • This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.

  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations.

  • Experience leading system integration projects as the technical lead.
  • Experience architecting, designing, and implementing enterprise networks.
  • Must have experience with network switches and routers in LAN/WAN environment.
  • Strong analytical abilities and professional office experience needed.
  • Experience working with customers to capture/document requirements.
  • Highly skilled with all aspects of Microsoft Server operating systems including in depth knowledge of Active Directory.
 
Position Requirements

Required

  • 7+ years experience as a Network Engineer supporting SANS, SQL SERVER, Exchange, Sharepoint, and other Microsoft systems.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred

  • BA Computer Science or other related technical degree.
  • 10+ Years experience as a Network Engineer supporting SANS, SQL SERVER, Exchange, Sharepoint, and other Microsoft systems
