Under the supervision of the Billing Supervisor, the Medical Billing Specialist will be responsible for inputting daily charges, collecting, submitting claims and following up with insurance companies, and posting and managing account payments. Hours required are M-F first shift with some flexibility of start/end times. Overtime may be required at times.   Position Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to follow specific verbal and written instructions Pleasant and professional phone manner. Strong organization skills. Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills. Computer skills including but not limited to: MS Word, MS Excel , Windows Internet browsing, and using software programming to manage patient billing.   Although experience in medical billing and coding is welcome, it is NOT required for this position.
