Summary:


The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the delivery and execution of core HR services to employees and managers. Perform a variety of employment related functions for the ultimate purpose of enhancing employee engagement, productivity and ensuring employee compliance with company policies. Stay current on state/federal employment laws. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Support HR programs, processes and procedures. This position requires excellent communication (written and oral), computer and organizational skills. The ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment is essential. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary.

This individual will partner with the department leadership to process employment transactions (hires, transfers, promotions, etc.); benefits administration to include but not limited to enrolling new hires, processing benefit changes, employee communications, assisting with open enrollment process, termination of benefits, auditing, compliance and recordkeeping; provide assistance with Facilities process, including badge creation, parking management and coordinating with building management for maintenance issues, etc.; assist with recruiting and staffing logistics; provide assistance with on-boarding process to include but not limited to collecting and processing new hire paperwork, conducting new hire orientation, maintaining orientation binders, checking in with hiring managers and new employees to ensure successful on boarding at 2-month check-in, arranges new hire photographs and maintaining team member announcements, administers employee reference checks and employment verifications; participate in the employee exit process to include creation of termination letters, termination of benefits and timely completion of exit interviews; performs other duties as assigned.

The Human Resources Generalist will, at a minimum, possess the following credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of three to four years of HR experience required
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills necessary
  • Ability to work effectively with interruptions
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information or issues
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide back up to others in department as needed
  • Ability to be flexible in work schedule as needed
  • SHRM-CP designation is preferred, but not required
