Job Summary

The Account Executive, Business Development is responsible for generating maximum revenue for the Pittsburgh Pirates with a heavy concentration on season tickets and suites.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and sell new season (80%) and group packages (20%) for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
  • Build relationships with both B2C and B2B clients through phone calls, social selling, face-to-face appointments, and networking events.
  • Play a crucial role in creating excitement around the Pittsburgh Pirates and PNC Park.
  • Create and implement sales strategies to produce new leads, referrals and sales.
  • Identify new business opportunities within Pittsburgh by proactively attending networking and grassroots events.
  • Meet or exceed weekly expectations in regards to outbound activity and appointments.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Assist with game day responsibilities of the department.
  • Generate maximum revenue for the Pittsburgh Pirates through full-menu product sales.
  • Be fluent in product knowledge of season ticket plans and benefits.
  • Manage and service assigned partial plan and group accounts.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of all prospecting activities and closed sales for account base including ticket plan and group customers and prospects.
  • Maintain the highest level of customer service to all ticket holders.
  • Regularly provide accurate updates on prospecting activity, sales performance, outside appointments and event recaps, and account management.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Director, Business Development.
  • Attend outside events with the purpose of driving sales.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings and training opportunities.
 
Position Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 4 months experience in an inside sales program
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications

Desired:

  • Experience with a professional sports environment
  • Experience in ticket sales
  • Proficiency in CRM or Tickets.com software systems
