Position Requirements

Ideal candidate possesses excellent analytical, organizational, and strong communication skills; and experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI and general accounting software. A B.S. in Business Administration, Finance or related field, plus 3-5 years of experience related to analysis, accounting, and operations is required. Demonstrates strong project management skills with proven success at managing projects working independently and leading projects through to completion is required, tightened timeframes while maintaining a strategic perspective. Ability to create/design and present information in a presentation format that translates technical financial terminology into terms understandable to leadership, and external customers.

 
Description

OBJECTIVE: Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for a broad range of strategic planning, financial modeling and analytical reporting. Their success is based on the quality of analytics and support provided in the following high-visibility areas: strategic initiatives, long range financial planning, budgets and forecasts, and analysis of major projects. This position provides guidance: mentoring and management support to department managers/colleagues and requires strong analytical and conceptual skills,

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include, but are not limited to:

  1. Oversees the development and interpretation of complex financial information and financial plan (budget/forecast) in a manner that is informative to organizational leaders for decision making processes.
  2. Analyze various strategic projects and incorporate into the financial plan.
  3. Develops and manages the organization's key performance indicators as compared to the budget/forecast and strategic initiatives (i.e., critical success factors).
  4. Maintains in-depth understanding of the organization's financial systems and utilizes these systems to develop reports / information for financial related decision making.
  5. Identifies areas in need to improved data/information accuracy and oversees the implementation of processes to maintain and improve data accuracy and quality within the applications utilized across the organization.
  6. Monitors development and implementation of strategies designed to meet objectives.
  7. Anticipates future trends, threats and opportunities affecting financial results for the organization.
  8. Prepares financial projections and proformas for new projects, major capital expenditures or proposed changes in the organizations operations (designs and prepares ad hoc reports).
  9. Preforms other duties as assigned by the Controller
  10. Provide back-up support to other Team Members in the Finance Department.
  11. Provide support for the implementation of the COSI Strategic Plan by creating and overseeing processes that track the success of strategic organizational goals, initiatives, and metrics.
  12. Conducts organizational reviews to identify strengths and weaknesses and to evaluate operational effectiveness of the COSI Strategic Plan.
  13. Facilitates the implementation of business planning and modeling as associated with the COSI Strategic Plan initiatives.
  14. Tracks the development of initiative milestones, and key performance metrics which are outlined in the COSI Strategic Plan and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
  15. Support general COSI operations through active participation in meetings as appropriate.
  16. Serve as an example to other COSI Team Members and Volunteers in matters of appearance, attitude, and performance in a manner best serving COSI paid and volunteer Team Members and Guests.
  17. In accordance with COSI's Guest Services Strategy and as opportunities present themselves; provide excellence in Guest Services by assuring Guest safety, using courtesy to drive each Guest interaction, by delivering the COSI show, and by keeping operations efficient.
  18. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Finance/Controller.
