Description

SUMMARY: Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture.
  • Develop system engineering, software engineering, system integration, or distributed system architectures.
  • Collaborate with engineers or software developers to select appropriate design solutions or ensure the compatibility of system components.
  • Identify system data, hardware, or software components required to meet user needs.
  • Communicate with staff or clients to understand specific system requirements.
  • .Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Seeing, hearing, speaking, walking, sitting, climbing, repetitive arm and finger motions, maybe required to lift (up to 25 lbs.), push pull and stand. Must be able sit for prolonged periods of time

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Individual must maintain a safe work environment. Individual must be aware of security measures involving computer and document security, and other measures associated with working in a facility that utilizes security measures and precautions.

 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must possess Army 8570 Baseline Certification IAT-II AND IT-II Personnel Security Standard. Must provide proof of current 8570.01M IAT-II Baseline Certification. Secret Security Clearance is required for this position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and five years' experience in analyzing functional and technical requirements and current software architecture to identify opportunities to improve software security, performance, and standardization; as well as managing the functional and technical analysis, design, development, programming, security management, testing of the software baseline, creating/modifying applications and network systems with a proficiency in programming languages; and a knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and the various views.
