Seeking a Pediatric Psychiatrist to Help Us Grow!

Part-time Opportunity Available.

Northern Nevada HOPES seeks a new colleague in our provider team to deliver high quality, evidence-based pediatric psychiatric outpatient services to our patients. We look for skilled and motivated individuals who are driven by a passion to serve and have a desire to help us grow!

Northern Nevada HOPES is a community health and wellness center serving the Northern Nevada area. We accept most insurance plans, Medicaid, Medicare, and the uninsured. For the uninsured, we offer discounted services based on a sliding fee scale.
  • We are a National Health Service Corp site, and our providers are eligible to apply toward a federal loan forgiveness program

Reno, Nevada, located in the beautiful high desert at the foot of the Sierra Nevadas, occupies a valley known as the Truckee Meadows. Our Psychiatrist will join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team. The need for Outpatient Behavioral Health services has grown so much and continues to grow. We currently treat a variety of mental health and substance abuse issues for adults, children and adolescents. A psychiatrist is responsible for assessment, medication evaluation and management, development of treatment plans, referral, psychotherapy, and documentation in our EMR. Our psychiatrists may provide oversight for psychiatry residents, psychiatric APRNs and PAs, and medical students as well as engage in program development and education of community and staff. Members of our behavioral team champion and contribute to performance improvement and growing our programming.

Position Requirements

We are looking for:

  • Psychiatrists licensed in the State of Nevada; evidence-based and team-based
  • Board Certified in Pediatric and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Excellent, experienced psychiatric providers (3+ years)
  • Passionate providers with a heart for our mission and our patients
  • Superb communicators, helping patients connect with their primary team and other services
  • Willingness to supervise mid-level practitioners, students, residents and fellows
