Share Email Opening Title Billing Support Specialist  Category Billing/Coding   Description With direction from the Collections Manager, the Billing Support Specialist will collect insurance monies due to Midwest Eye Consultants in a manner that is legal, professional, timely and within the guidelines of Midwest Eye Consultants, The Billing Support Specialist enhances the operational flow of the assigned practices and performs a variety of duties to support the billing department. The Billing Support Specialist upholds the values and customer service standards of Midwest Eye Consultants. The responsibilities of the AR follow up position is to perform collection follow-up steps with insurance carriers and/or patients regarding open accounts receivable and/or delinquent accounts to result in maximum cash collections for our Physicians. Tasks will include resolving insurance carrier denials, appealing claims, contacting carriers on open accounts and responding to insurance carrier correspondence and/or inquiries.   Position Requirements - Billing experience is preferred - Billing Support Specialist would perform all aspects of billing including but not limited to charges, claims, payments, billing calls, and follow up - Multitasking and attention to detail is a must - Ophthalmology experience preferred but not required - Must have strong interpersonal skills to deal with patients, payer reps, and coworkers - Hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 to 5:00   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Shift   Pay Rate $13.75   Position Status Full Time   Manages Others No   Travel Required   Position Billing Support Specialist   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   Location Midwest Eye Consultants, Fort Wayne Area   About the Organization The vision of the doctors and staff of Midwest Eye Consultants is to provide our patients with excellence in eye health care.
