We are seeking mission focused, full time Youth Specialist responsible for providing a range of moderately complex clinical services with children, adolescents, and identified adults. This position will serve Weld (80%) and Larimer (20%) counties.

As a Youth Specialist, you will:

  • Provide short-term Intensive Family Preservation Services to families in crisis. Will follow intensive, in-home evidence based service model based on Family Wellness and other Trauma Informed approaches. Services are provided at the level of frequency, intensity and duration appropriate to prevent placement or achieve reunification. Services provided are tailored to each family’s needs, problems, strengths, life style and culture.
  • Participates in the development of the Individual Service Plan and provides ongoing mental health services.
  • Coordinate home visits for the youth with all appropriate parties, will include 2 to 4 times a month per client.
  • Complete progress notes/biweekly updates as required by state rules, agency policies, and/or contract requirements.
  • Attend client/family activities as schedule permits or required by management.
  • Documentation: It is approximated that one will have 3 hours of documentation a week to complete which is due within 48-72 hours of the service.
  • Standard work hours are Mon-Thur (10 hour shifts). Time frame is flexible but staff must be available to youth (typically 3-8 pm) for home visits a few nights a week.
  • Travel includes both Weld and Larimer counties and expect to be on the road approximately 6 hours per week. Overall hours being worked outside of the office is estimated to be around 30 hours/week which includes traveling to and from visits and time spend at the home conducting a home visit.
  • On-call is a weekly rotation which is typically once every 10 - 11 weeks and paid $100 per week of being on-call. On call is from Wednesday 9 am to the following Wednesday at 9 am.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, child & family studies, or other related field of human services.
  • 6 months of experience in working with youth highly preferred.
