Store Auditor Freeport 



To perform audits within the store to ensure that merchandise are scanning correctly and correct pricing and bin tags are on all company merchandise. To assist the team in comparing physical item profiles and inventory levels to database records and verifying clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in description, barcode, setup criteria, and investigate and report reasons for discrepancies to the manager. Also assist in any other duties assigned by the manager where deem necessary for the smooth daily operations of the business.




Verification - To systematically perform audits within the store by ensuring that all merchandise are scanning and have the correct price on them. Ensure that each item have the correct bin tags. Periodically scan all products to ensure that all critical data reflected in the database is accurate and in compliance with company standards. Efficiently correct or report all noted issues to the department manager.


Review and Report Discrepancies –Review all discrepancies associated with audits and report any findings to the Store Manager in an effort to prevent and solve any resulting discrepancies. Perform audits to ensure proper receiving takes place, including ensuring that proper receiving policies are adhered to. Ensure that drop weight sheets are collected and actioned. Ensure that secondary check offs are being done in the Produce and Meat departments. Audit scales in the Meat, Produce, and Deli departments to ensure that items are being weighed correctly. Ensure that the all claim forms are being submitted within an allotted times for reimbursement from suppliers.


Communication- Communicate daily with Inventory Manager and Store Manager and associates to meet expectations and ensure departmental goals are clear and consistent with company objectives. Report findings to manager as needed. 


Assist with Profitability- Advise Department and Inventory Managers on related matters such as requests, reactions, prices, selection and the availability of inventory. Assist with the receiving process ensuring accurate counts. Ensuring that PLU codes are correct on each merchandise and proper test are being done on the Front End.  


Loss & Damage, Shrink Intervention- Assist managers in implementing strategies for significant prevention and reductions of high volume products. Assist manager to implement systems, policies and procedures to reduce the level of shrink in each store. Liaise with Buyers to correct all non- scan items and incorrect pricings in the system

Position Requirements
  • Experience in the Inventory procedures necessary
  • Effective organizational skills in a multitasked environment
  • Ability to analyze and solve varying degrees of problems with minimal supervision
  • Ability to use computer database to research, maintain and update records and files
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize workload
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely experienced in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Some college experience: working towards a degree program.
  • Thorough knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management
  • High degree of integrity and commitment to service excellence
