Assist the commodity sales team and management in growing business by delivering on volume and margin objectives in the assigned territory(s) and driving sales growth in assigned market(s).

Achieve sales goals for assigned region(s) and account(s):

  • Proactively solicit new and repeat business with assigned and/or target accounts within region
    Respond to customer calls/emails on timely basis
  • Advise customers on market dynamics and possible contracing strategies, leveraging Oil Trading resources and other tools.
  • Prepare written quotes
  • Book contracts at customers' requests and communicate the details to Customer Service
  • Learn about new products and sell these new products to new and existing customers
  • Understand the competitive landscape - competitors, pricing, products, geographies served

Assist commodity sales management to achieve Regional goals:

  • Proactively analyze existing contract details (balances, market levels, etc.) and provide regular updates to customers.
  • Regularly meet to develop and review sales strategies for the region
  • Capture and analyze information regarding volume & variable margin, new business, and lost business for the territory to track progress and advise on course changes.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reviews

Represent Commodity Sales Team at one or more Distributor Buying Groups.

  • Manage oil contracts/Risk Management Program for these buying groups.
  • Attend Buying Group conferences.

Support one or more regional Chain Account Managers in the Region on commodity opportunities.

  • Provide regular market updates to regional chain accounts being managed by CAM partner.
  • Execute oil contracts for these accounts.

Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements

"Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years in a sales or sales support role, interacting directly with customers
  • Project management experience
  • Multi-tasking capability
  • Solid Computer Skills
  • BA, BS desirable
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish desirable"
