Job Summary

The Account Manager, Premium Sales & Service is responsible for the selling, retaining and servicing all Pittsburgh Pirates premium product clients. This position will produce an annual business plan addressing strategy and approach for the sales and renewal of premium clients. Moreover, the Account Manager will regularly attend offsite meetings with clientele and members of the greater Pittsburgh business community. Incumbents in this role must be self-motivated, goal driven and able to proficiently exercise sound business judgment.The Account Manager, Premium Sales & Service is responsible for the selling, retaining and servicing all Pittsburgh Pirates premium product clients. Job Responsibilities

Primary:

  1. Meet and exceed annual revenue goals by creating an individualized business plan that focuses in part on maintaining a high volume of appointments, proposal writing, presentations and follow-ups.
  2. Retain a small book of suite and premium accounts, including; annual suite leases; Lexus Club; Club Cambria, Pittsburgh Baseball Club and night hospitality rentals.
  3. Identify new suite and premium revenue opportunities by cultivating relationships with existing clientele and business and community leaders including but not limited to; networking events; speaking engagements, business expos and others.
  4. Entertain existing and prospective clientele on a consistent basis throughout the regular season and off-season during games, outings and other strategic events.
  5. Create and execute a business plan, which provides strategic goals and objectives, thoughtfulness of how to best approach suite and premium sales clientele, and measurable time and revenue metrics for a sales year, which aims to hit and exceed the revenue goals set by Pittsburgh Pirates.
  6. Design, present and execute annual proposals for suite and premium products.
  7. Work with independent judgment and business discretion to execute against the business plan.
  8. Negotiate suite and premium seating experience packages for clientele within a range as provided by the Pirates.
  9. Create new sales programs and strategies to produce leads, referrals and sales.
  10. Support in the development of new premium client benefits, trips, and other experiences.
  11. Align with industry leaders to keep up-to-date with best practices in premium sales and service.
  12. Maintain accurate records in CRM regarding activities and sales.
  13. Other responsibilities as assigned by Director of Premium Sales, Service & Hospitality.

Secondary:

  1. Collaborate with Corporate Partnership team members on potential partnership opportunities that arise from relationships with premium seating clientele.
  2. Possess a team-first attitude and work well with others.
  3. Heightened attention to detail with strong time management and organization skills.
  4. Ability to problem solve and provide solutions.
 
Position Requirements

Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four (4) year university.
  2. Minimum of two (2) years sales or account management experience.
  3. Prior experience selling or providing account management for luxury suite, premium seating, and/or selling or providing account management directly to mid-to-large size businesses.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Valid Driver’s License.

Desired:

  1. Experience within a professional sports environment.
  2. Experience using CRM system.
