Description

The Director of Advancement Services reports to the Chief Development Officer and is a vital member of and strategic partner with the Advancement team. S/he is responsible for advancement related database management, gift processing and data entry, reporting and data analysis, as well as data integrity and security. This position develops and implements data and gift entry procedures; produces lists, reports, and gift acknowledgements; and contributes to the successful execution of advancement goals and strategies. S/he advises and assists the Chief Development Officer as a member of the leadership and decision-making team within the Advancement Office. S/he will supervise the fulltime Gift Entry Specialist and will maintain close working relationships with other members of the advancement leadership team.

 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and five or more years related experience in fundraising, finance/accounting, database management, or equivalent combination
  • Experience with CRM and/or ERP systems (Jenzabar EX preferred)
  • Strong MS Excel knowledge and skills are required, including the ability to create and manage pivot table reports
  • Proficiency with database structures, including an aptitude for database report writing tools
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, including ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret data and statistical models
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude for new and emerging technologies
  • Ability to present analyses and information to small and large groups and speak succinctly about interpretation and recommendations
