Team Leader - Selah E&T 


What are we looking for in a Team Leader?

This is an exciting opportunity to become the Team Leader for our new program, an Evaluation & Treatment Facility in Selah. This upcoming sixteen-bed, secure facility will serve adults who require short-term inpatient treatment due to a crisis or change in function related to mental illness. This facility will provide evaluation, stabilization, and brief treatment for adults in a supportive, trauma-informed environment. An integrated, multidisciplinary team of professionals will provide individualized treatment and a comprehensive discharge plan that emphasizes family support and community resources.

The primary responsibility of a Team Leader is to ensure that the Selah E & T facility functions as intended. The Team Leader monitors team productivity and daily census counts, timely & thorough completion of clinical documentation, clients' treatment progress, and timely access to care within the facility. The Team Leader also provides clinical supervision to the team and, when required, provides direct treatment services. Desired qualities of a Team Leader include being open to feedback and willing to provide it to others, an ability to identify strengths and use these to motivate others, and strong management skills to execute multiple tasks and priorities. The Team Leader will report to the Vice President overseeing E&Ts.

Team Leader duties include

  • gathering & tracking program data and implementing policies & procedures
  • providing clinical care to clients, as needed, including ensuring daily mental health professional contacts
  • managing team schedules and covering shifts when needed
  • providing clinical supervision and general oversight to staff members
  • collaborating with Comprehensive teams and community organizations to coordinate client treatment and make appropriate referrals
  • tracking compliance with all applicable regulations and preparing for survey & license reviews or audits
  • ensuring all staff adhere to trauma-informed principles, including the appropriate use of seclusion and restraints
  • completing required clinical documentation and data entry
Position Requirements

Education/Experience: Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field; OR Registered Nurse in Washington State. Two years of prior experience providing direct clinical care.

Professional Credentials: Eligible for Registered Nurse license or Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration in Washington State
