Our Team:

The Digital Marketing Communications Specialist provides strategic oversight for content publishing on digital platforms (owned websites, external social platforms, retailer websites, mobile platforms, CRM), as well as the development of Social/Influencer/PR communications plans in an effort to drive consumer engagement and deliver the marketing goals for the business. This role is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for driving and developing a holistic consumer experience and managing related strategy, investment choices and implementation. The Digital Marketing Communications Specialist interacts across different levels of technical, analytical, creative and business aspects bringing brand building know-how, strategic thinking, creative content capability, strong communication and writing skills, a deep understanding of how to generate insights through data and measurement strategies. This role requires integration and collaboration with internal Team Leadership, as well as a partnership with multi-functional SMEs, Shopper Marketing, various agency partners (Creative, Media, PR, Shopper, Social, Digital), the media and retailer/etailer partner communities.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead Digital (Web, Retailer, CRM, Social and PR) strategies and tactics. Activate discipline-specific tactics per the plan. Proactively report tactical results and recommend actions for improvement.
  • Lead the development of Content Strategy and Roadmap for Digital Channels to help improve the website experience. Manage Search Engine Optimization (SEO) audits to drive strategy. Enable technology teams for managing enhancements and fixes.
  • Provide hands-on management through all phases of website redesigns, updates and retailer specific content build.
  • Lead content engine required of campaign and real-time marketing, from development and curating of content to video production and partnerships. Enable teams to manage content calendar for all channels.
  • Partner with Shopper, eCommerce and Retailer teams to customize and distribute content and communications that support the consumer journey as necessary.
  • Lead strategy for management of customer database, first party data and tactics. Drive program acquisition, engagement and retention tactics to meet business goals for both owned databases as well as retailer-specific loyalty programs. Partner with customer teams to leverage data application and build compelling tactics.
  • Drive creativity and innovation in plans leveraging trends & building relationships with industry thought leaders. Leverage listening capabilities to understand online conversations to develop meaningful, authentic opportunities. Generate insights that can be applied to content strategy and tactic refinement. Manage brand reputation issues, both reactively and proactively.
  • Lead learning plan agenda (goals/KPIs) for websites and all campaign tactics. Enable teams to manage analytics to ensure proper measurement, make recommendations on how to improve and share successes and prove out strategies.
  • Manage the budget (Web, Social, PR).
  • Lead or enable the coordination and project management for tactical executions including Partnership activations. Manage agency teams and vendors to ensure proper distribution and execution.
  • Educate the Brand Engagement (BE) team, organization and other SME's on capabilities, emerging opportunities, program results and learnings. Proactively drive and scale BE learnings to other teams and across disciplines.
  • Participate in the Community of Practice and in training presentations for organization on key capability areas to further train organization and BE team.
  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence and contribute to capability-building efforts to ensure consistency of core practices and that capabilities are embedded into the team.

What you bring to the team:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.
  • 7+ years of agency or in-house agency experience in website planning, creative strategy, content marketing, shopper marketing, public relations, digital and/or social media, editorial and/or online publishing.
  • Professional experience with a major digital platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube).
  • Proven Media Relations skills.
  • Proven ability to link editorial, content strategy, paid distribution, and audience segmentation to drive online conversations and consumer engagement.
  • Experience working with an analytics team to measure campaign ROI and generate insights that inform future recommendations and decisions.
  • Proven ability to harness analytic skills while breeding high creativity and experimentation.
  • Strategic and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from various sources and offer creative marketing solutions.
  • Strong influencing, communication and presentation skills; Ability to tell a story from data.
  • Excellent writing, oral and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated project leadership and teamwork skills in cross-functional planning and execution.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented with good time management skills.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced office environment.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
  • Prior supervisory/management experience.
  • Consumer-packaged goods experience.
  • Experience with complex data environments, analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc., and using behavioral analytics to evaluate success and inform priorities.
