GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:

In coordination with the Vice President - Sales & Chief Lending Officer (CLO), the Client Relationship Manager will play an instrumental role in the growth and development of the Cornerstone Fund's outreach efforts to individuals, Local Churches, Associations, Conferences and other related entities across the UCC. All of these efforts are governed by our overall fiduciary responsibility to protect the investments entrusted to the Fund.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Client Relationship Manager in consultation with the Vice President - Sales & CLO is charged with helping support the Cornerstone Funds financial well-being by developing and implementing a strategic plan to proactively identify, qualify and pursue primarily investment opportunities from Local Churches and their members, Associations, Conferences, and related entities. Secondarily, this individual will also be responsible for identifying potential lending opportunities as well.

  • Work with the Vice President - Sales & CLO in establishing a realistic Business Plan with measurable business development goals for investments.

  • Work with the Vice President CLO and CMO to establish marketing strategies that support the Business Development Plan and enhance our visibility among constituencies.

  • Respond to customer inquiries and referrals that are generated from both their own contacts and from other Cornerstone Fund business channels.

  • Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining thorough knowledge of Investment products and lending programs, policies, and procedures.

  • Ensure exceptional customer experience by being the backup resource to the Lending Relationship Manager, via the loan process from origination to close and providing on-going communication to the borrower.

  • Build and maintain high-level contacts with current and prospective borrowers and investors.

  • As needed, attend National, Regional, Conference, Association and Local Church meetings in order to advance the business development efforts of the Cornerstone Fund.

  • Lead regional workshops, seminars, participate in webinars and other programs to promote the Cornerstone Fund's products and services.

  • Maintain and update all client and prospect communications in the SFDC (CRM) system. Thus assisting in building a robust client relationship database. Additionally assist Lending and Business Development Specialist in maintaining SFDC active pipeline.

  • Relate to and interact with the President & CEO, Sales & CLO, CMO and CFO, staff, internal and external consultants, contractors, the Board of Directors, and partners and other constituents as needed.

  • Perform special assignments and duties as requested.
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform successfully in this position:

  • At least five years’ experience in banking or lending, with a demonstrated ability to perform in a sales environment pertaining to Deposit/Investment and Business Lending.
  • Understanding of the policies and procedures required in the banking/lending industry — particularly the principles and practices of real estate secured lending, investing and financial management.
  • College degree with emphasis in Marketing, Business Administration or Sales; or a combination of academic study and experience
  • Ability and commitment to some travel within the United States
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Ability to obtain or maintain Series 63 or Series 7securities license
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with individuals and groups of diverse backgrounds, experience and levels of sophistication
  • Understanding of PC technology including spreadsheet and word processing capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and collegially, as well as independently
  • Ability and willingness to work in a diverse and inclusive ministry environment, and willingness to learn and adapt to the UCC denominational culture.
