What are we looking for in a Mental Health Worker/Case Manager?

Mental Health Worker/Case Managers provide care, support, and a safe living environment for individuals residing within our inpatient and residential facilities. Mental Health Worker/Case Managers provide supportive counseling and skills development through individual or group sessions to assist clients with reaching their treatment and recovery goals while preparing to live independently in the community. This position is supported by an interdisciplinary team that includes psychiatric prescribers, nurses, therapists, mental health workers, and other support personnel. In addition, Mental Health Worker/Case Managers will collaborate with the client’s natural and community supports in order to foster healthy choices and independent living.

Mental Health Worker/Case Manager duties may include:

  • collaborating with the client and the treatment team to develop an individualized treatment plan
  • assisting a client with completing and submitting benefit applications
  • facilitating educational, behavioral health, or skill-building groups
  • providing coaching in areas such as nutrition, budgeting, and independent living skills
  • supporting a client with appointments, community events, and daily activities
  • providing daily oversight of medication self-administration and monitoring symptoms & medication response
  • assisting with basic housekeeping, meal planning, and meal preparation
  • completing accurate documentation in a timely manner using a client-centered approach

The Detox/Crisis Triage Center is a sixteen bed adult facility that monitors clients who are experiencing alcohol and/or drug intoxication and/or withdrawals. In addition, there are crisis stabilization beds to provide 24 hour monitoring and supervision of client’s behaviors and medications in a safe environment to prevent further client de-compensation and inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. Schedule: Part-time, 32 hours a week, Sunday & Monday, 11pm-7am and Friday & Saturday, 7am-3pm

 
Position Requirements

Education/Experience: Associate's degree and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Credentials: Eligible for Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration

Other Credentials Required: First Aid/CPR Certification, Food Handler's Permit, Driver's License, Vehicle Liability Insurance
