Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Station Manager for KIAD is administratively and operationally accountable to the Program Manager. This role shall oversee and coordinate the set-up of all Ground Operation facets per the airline's schedule. Duties shall include, but are not limited to the following::

  • Perform duties assigned or delegated by the Program Manager
  • Responsible to work a schedule set by Program Management
  • Communicate all operational flight information during your assigned mission to Program Management
  • Provide on-site supervision with Omni's ground handling vendors, responsible for supplying service(s) to Omni's flight operations in base and overseas.
  • Ensure all of contracted service employees are fully trained and training roster is updated accordingly, in base and overseas.
  • Review monthly invoices with Program Management to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with our in-house customer
  • Receive credentials to become an Operations Representative (Ops Rep) which include becoming a Ground Security Coordinator (GSC).
  • Backfill the current Operations Representative schedule when vacation, sick calls, or interrupted commercial travel occur and the void can be filled.
  • Track program related flight statics, customer's feedback and provide program management adequate resolution to any negative trends
  • At minimum, conduct an observation flight once a month as a measure of quality control for in cabin service flow and food quality.
  • Perform other incidental duties that may be assigned by Program Management
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to build/maintain positive relationships within Omni, Omni’s vendors, and most importantly, Omni’s customer
  • Handle stressful situations with professionalism
  • Work a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license with no major moving violations within the last 3 years
  • Must hold a valid US Passport without dual citizenship
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year background/criminal check and pre-employment drug screen
  • Obtain/Maintain secret security clearance

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 4-6 years of Aviation experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience preferred

MENTAL CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to handle numerous activities at once and complete in a timely manner
  • Work with limited supervision and possess an impeccable attention to detail, excellent customer service and organizational skills required
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gathering and analyzing information skillfully with significant detail
  • Ability to make decisions which have a significant impact on the immediate work unit and monitor outside immediate work unit
  • Ability to make quick decisions which impact the department’s credibility, and services reacting in a positive manner during unexpected and/or serious situations
  • Ability to complete routine forms, use existing form letters and/or conduct routine oral communication
  • Must be aware of, and able to recognize and respond to, a variety of situations to include: emergency, medical, and security-related
  • Ability to formulate complex and comprehensive materials such as detailed reports, work-related manuals, publications of limited scope or impact, etc.
