Our Team:

Summary/Objective:

The Front-End Web/eCommerce Developer is part of a development team, building, interfacing, and maintaining multiple eCommerce web sites currently using Magento 1 Enterprise Ed. and Magento 2.0 Commerce Edition. The role executes and contributes to full-stack web development projects, with an emphasis on front end features, browser manipulation, cross-browser compatibility, and responsive design for mobile devices that meets the eCommerce website strategies. The Front-End Web/eCommerce Developer assists in improving the usability and functionality of the websites. The role works within a small team to code, test, debug, develop fixes and upgrades, and document design specifications.

What you will be doing:

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the SME for all UX/UI on all ecommerce sites across multiple brands.
  • Understand and follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
  • Program Web/CMS pages using hand coded HTML5/CSS, JavaScript and JQuery in accordance to W3C standards.
  • Support eCommerce updates, maintenance and production of landing pages across multiple websites and platforms while meeting project deadlines.
  • Hand Code marketing campaigns for web, email, etc.
  • Maintain Content Management System (CMS) websites using the Magento 2 Commerce platform.
  • Support complete quality control testing by executing/validating test cases for projects on a pre and post production basis. Troubleshooting and repair front end issues with coding, browsers, and servers.
  • Collaborate with other front end and back end developers & sharing development responsibility to create web applications with a focus on front-end features, accessibility and compatibility.
  • Collaborate on documentation needed for process documentation database.
  • Effectively communicate & collaborate with cross functional teams & stakeholders to meet business requirements.
  • Available to support site deployments and urgent fixes on off hours as needed. Off hours work: limited (<5%).

What you bring to the team:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field; or 5 years’ consecutive programming experience.
  • 2 – 3 years’ professional programming or development experience.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience working with CMS and ecommerce tools and technology, including third party integrations, SAP, Five9, APIs.
  • Strong focus on front-end design and modern web practices to create efficient user-experience.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, XML, CMS, E-Commerce Shopping carts and Payment gateways (e.g., Authorize.Net, Braintree)
  • Thorough understanding of cross browser issues and debugging.
  • Ability to develop on both Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Experience developing web sites with a mobile first design. ·
  • Experience working with source code repository Git, beanstalk.
  • Demonstrated competency working with PHP based web applications.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience with HTML5/CSS 3, W3C, SAAS, JavaScript.
  • Experience with jQuery, React JS, Angular JS.
  • Experience with APIs.
  • Experience with Magento 2 Commerce Edition.
  • Experience with WordPress, blogs.
  • Experience with Responsive Design.
  • Familiar with Agile methodology.
  • Experience with Varnish.
  • Experience using Cloudflare, or Fastly.
  • Experience with PWA.
  • Experience with social media channels (Facebook, Twitter).
  • Experience with customization of Magento plugins and extensions.
  • Experience in creating Custom Magento plugins.
