Currently, nearly 17,000 Arizona children have been placed in the foster care system due to abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment. Devereux Arizona trains and licenses individuals to become foster parents for children from birth to 18 years of age. We provide both traditional and therapeutic foster care in Tucson (Pima County) and Phoenix (Maricopa County). Our foster care programs include traditional foster care, kinship care and therapeutic foster care.

Located in Tucson, Arizona, the Foster Care Program Manager you will be responsible for the fiscal, administrative, and operational aspects of the programs. You will provide leadership, direction and supervision of the program and services in accordance with established standards. You will also serves as the program liaison to external agencies, parents/guardians, and other referral sources. Ensure the quality of therapeutic intervention, client interaction and/or community support provided by program personnel through program oversight and staff supervision. Candidates that have knowledge of and experience in the behavioral health system and an understanding of the system, knowledge of services, advocacy, etc. highly preferred.

Position Requirements

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human services-related field, such as Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling, is required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Bachelor's and Five (5) year's; Master's and three (3) year’s experience in human services (e.g. child welfare, behavioral health) setting.
  • Two (2) year's supervisory experience required.
  • Current valid independent or associate licensed Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) to practice in Arizona with no restrictions a plus!
  • Must have leadership skills to lead a diverse group and problem solve effectively

OTHER:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 39-month history check
  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)
  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)
  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results

Job Summary Available hours for this position are: Mon- Fri 9am-5pm and on- call rotation
