The Early Learning Programs (formerly Head Start) support the mental, social, and emotional development of children from age 3 to age 5. In addition to education services, programs provide children and their families with health, nutrition, social, and other services. Early Learning Program services are responsive to each child and family’s ethnic, cultural, and linguistic heritage.
The roll of a Teacher will ensure that the activities of this position are consistent with the mission, vision and values of Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland Early Learning Program (former Head Start). The Teacher will esure that the classroom is setup with defined learning areas and provides a safe, healthy classroom environment that is arranged to support independence. Adhere to all state and local licensing requirements and comply with meeting the Head Start Performance Standards. Supervise children at all times and maintain child/staff ratios in accordance to state and federal requirements. Establish and follow a consistent daily routine that meets the needs of all children.
