Therapeutic Services Agency, Inc. (TSA) has been providing mental health expertise and evidenced based practices in the spirit of innovation and excellence since 1978. TSA added the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program in 3 years ago to provide culturally affirmative and language specific services to address the mental health needs of children who are deaf, deafblind, or hard of hearing. We are looking for a full-time mental health therapist who is proficient in ASL, has in-depth knowledge of Deaf culture, and an understanding of communication barriers to join our staff. We currently provide these services to children and their families across Northern Minnesota and are now expanding our services to the Southwest Region of Minnesota.
Responsibilities include providing an array of mental health services to our clients such as diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, individual therapy, family therapy, individual skills, and family skills. This position is also responsible for promoting and marketing the program; and for providing presentations to community groups, at professional conferences, and to school staff about the benefits of culturally affirmative, language specific mental health services to children who are deaf, deafblind, or hard of hearing. This is an itinerant position and requires the therapist to live in the Soutwest Region of Minnesota.
