Description

Assertive Professionals is in search of multiple Radar Image Analysts to provide Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) services utilizing unmanned aerial systems (UAS) with delivery of imagery products to the US Army and units operating in the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) Area of Responsibility. Individuals selected for these positions will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Interpret extremely high-resolution (finer than 6-inch) SAR imagery real time
  • Analyze change detection data
  • Provide change detection analysis results
  • Generate geospatial intelligence report based on SAR imagery and analysis.
  • Download/upload data to/from radars and ground file server

Required:

  • Active security clearance, either DoD 'Secret' (or higher) or DOE 'L' (or higher)
  • Willingness to accept hazardous-duty assignments
  • Willingness to deploy for up to 150 days out of each 180 days
  • Ability to pass requisite military training requirements for deployment (e.g., CRC)
  • Demonstrated capability using Microsoft Windows 7
  • Demonstrated capability with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated capability to use Google Earth, including creation/production of overlays, performing measurements (distance, heading, lat-long, MGRS, altitude), generation of image products (e.g., JPEGs) from the Google Earth display, and similar tasks
  • Capability and willingness to master custom Windows applications that support analysis of SAR imagery
  • Demonstrated understanding of SAR image-formation principles, along with the ability to apply that understanding to analysis of fine-resolution, real-time SAR imagery
  • Demonstrated understanding of how SAR change products are created, and capability to apply that understanding to analysis of fine-resolution, real-time SAR change products (e.g., magnitude-change imagery, coherent-change-detection imagery, and similar products)
  • Thorough understanding of the SAR imaging-system's particular capabilities as well as its limitations, and the effects of both on image analysis
  • Experience analyzing fine-resolution, real-time SAR imagery under time constraints
  • Capability to generate analysis results (e.g., as PowerPoint slides), adhering to standardized formats and marking requirements, in real time and under time constraints
  • Ability and willingness to meet unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) during refueling to perform data downloads, and then to perform uploads onto the ground-station server
  • Ability to interpret images, formulate likely enemy scenarios, and then check for consistency between image signatures and presumed enemy behavior

Desired:

  • Previous experience with the above (1 year or more)
  • Previously deployed, preferably within past 12 months, in such a role
  • Additional miscellaneous skills (e.g., mechanical, electrical, carpentry)
