The Ascentis Sales Operations team is made up of driven Sales Support professionals who came to Ascentis every day to enable Sales success. The team is made up of passionate, customer service-oriented professionals who take great pride in performing a variety of activities that make our Sales team more successful. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), the Director, Sales Operations will be a key member of the go-to-market leadership team and be primarily responsible for defining strategies to make Sales more efficient, effective and improve overall Sales performance.

What are the general responsibilities of the position?

  • Provide leadership, vision and direction to Sales Operations team
  • Lead analytic efforts and report distribution on Sales Forecasting and Performance Reporting
  • Collaborate with Sales Management to set-up, maintain, and modify sales territories and assist with the comprehensive analysis of territory alignment and optimization decisions
  • In partnership with Finance, HR, and Sales Leadership, assist in design and administration of sales compensation plans
  • Coordinate Sales Training programs and events
  • Define, implement and maintain technologies that automate Sales activities (e.g. CRM, Proposal/Quote Generation)
  • Lead other duties that help improve efficiencies and effectiveness of Sales Leadership and Sales team as assigned
 
Position Requirements

What are we looking for in a candidate?

  • Bachelor’s degree required in related field
  • 10+ years of related sales/sales operations, leadership experience
  • Previous software sales operations experience with a strong preference for experience in a high growth environment
  • Business-to-business sales operations experience, knowledge of the Human Capital Management(HCM)/HRIS/Payroll industries, Saleforce.com experience a plus
  • Proven ability to develop a high-performance team
  • Track record in driving changes and eliminating hurdles by working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance and other departments
  • Proven skills in goal setting, project management and expectations management
  • Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly
  • Sophisticated understanding of sales performance metrics and KPIs for inside and outside sales teams
  • Orientation for defining and monitoring Sales Operations processes, procedures, policies and provide recommendations for process optimization and improvement
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator and communicator
