Position Test Analyst - Intermediate  
Description

SUMMARY: Has a specific role in the software testing process. Works as part of a team, with a responsibility to assess testing design and procedure the whole way through the testing life cycle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for providing technical support to the installation, maintenance, problem resolution of software during Software Integration Testing, Government Acceptance and Interoperability Test (GAIT), and GAIT Regression.
  • Provide technical and administrative direction for personnel performing production tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and user standards, and ensuring that a high level of quality is maintained.
  • Coordinate with the project manager and/or quality assurance manager to ensure problem solution and user satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Seeing, hearing, speaking, walking, sitting, climbing, repetitive arm and finger motions, maybe required to lift (up to 25 lbs.), push pull and stand. Must be able sit for prolonged periods of time

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Individual must maintain a safe work environment. Individual must be aware of security measures involving computer and document security, and other measures associated with working in a facility that utilizes security measures and precautions.

 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must have or be eligible to obtain IT-II personnel security standard.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree (an additional two years of specialized experience may be substituted for the required bachelor’s degree) and six years proven experience in software system testing including end-to-end testing, unit/component testing, System/Software Integration Testing, non-functional testing and Acceptance/Interoperability Testing and proven experience in using Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
