Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Bi-Lingual in Spanish Ensure compliance with the financial procedures of the organization Excellent communication and organizational skills Familiar with ERP and related accounting processes Responsible for supervising the accounting procedures of the company Strong Excel Skills Strong knowledge base of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Practices Works with confidential data, which, if disclosed, might have significant internal effect or minor external effect Essential functions and responsibilities: Supervises Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cost accounting, and general accounting positions Preparation of preliminary Financial Reports Responsible for Bank reconciliations and cash control Monthly reconciliations of accounts Coordinates annual audit with independent auditors Other General Accounting functions as required Report any potential food safety or quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices Other duties as required Must Follow All Company Policies and Procedures Non-essential skills and experience: Other duties as required Success factors/job competencies: Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases Ability to manipulate large amounts of data Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to direct and supervise Physical demands and work environment: This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls: reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Work environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is/or may be exposed to high noise levels that require hearing protection.
