Nature of job: The SCHEDULER is responsible for the daily scheduling of home health aides, personal care assistants, and companions through the use of a computerized scheduling system. Responsibilities also include the initial phone consultation and evaluation of potential clients, teaming the prospective client with the appropriate supervisor, providing initial information about the agency to the client, scheduling caregiver engagements, and direct client contact. Must have current CNA license as well as home care agency experience or home health scheduling experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing both incoming and outgoing calls to staff and clients
  • Coordinating schedules and documenting changes in software database
  • Communicating directly with caregivers, consumers, family members and case managers
  • Supporting office staff to assure caregivers are providing quality care
  • Sharing in the requirement to take weekend and on-call rotations
  • Working with fiscal department to optimize costs while providing quality care

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Required education:

  • High school or equivalent
 
Position Requirements

One year home care scheduling experience required and prior experience in home care/home health environment

Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and good sound judgment

Must be proficient in Word/Excel and Outlook (will train on company based software program)

Must be very flexible with time

Must be a team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Possess excellent organizational, written and verbal communications skills

Capable of working with a diverse workforce and client base as well as various elder care service agencies

Professional with employees and consumers, both on the phone and in person

CNA

Bilingual a plus
