Job Details:
The successful BIM Coordinator acts as a key technical and implementation source of BIM for assigned projects and maintains effective relationships with design, project, and client teams. A BIM Coordinator candidate will need to set up building information models in Revit based on the specifications in a BIM execution plan. The ideal candidate will also need to create electrical families with the proper clearance areas. This position requires an advanced knowledge of populating families and electrical elements with information that will be utilized in generating quantities and other types of data. The right candidate will also manage the quality of the building information model and be responsible for the quality and completeness of the content within the model.
Responsibilities:
- Acts as a key technical and implementation source of BIM for assigned projects.
- Maintains effective relationships with design, project, and client teams.
- Provides guidance to schedulers, estimators, and project managers on the added costs to meet goals for project BIM implementation
- Possess an advanced knowledge of 3D/4D/5D BIM and of appropriate platforms such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Ability to extract quantities and BIM information from the model and export into other formats that may be used by operations.
- Ability to direct the activities of other BIM Specialists
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant experience on large commercial projects
- Must have an in-depth working knowledge of current REVIT software
- Ability to use time productively and meet challenging work goals
- Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance
- Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic
- Must have PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word, excel, spreadsheets, e-mail, and web-enabled applications
- Must be a self-starter and possess the drive to pursue continued education on BIM
- Possess the ability to work well as part of a team and independently
- Possess interpersonal organization and communication skills
- Be energetic, efficient and results-oriented
