Description

This position is responsible for managing the dispatch of DEF for all identified Allied locations. This includes direct and indirect supervision of the dispatch team and the professional drivers. Beyond strategy development, the Dispatch Supervisor will develop and monitor field efficiencies and innovate new ways to improve operations. This position will be responsible for handing complaints, discussing challenges and working with management to develop action plans and improve driver performance, profitability and customer service.

The successful applicant must have a positive outlook and have the ability to multi-task. Will need to be flexible to cover operations as needed. Customer service is the first priority.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has supervisory responsibilities for Dispatchers. This includes responsibility for employee performance reviews and feedback, providing motivation and encouragement, scheduling time off, employee grievances or complaints, pay changes and dispatcher accountability responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all DEF routing for identified Allied Oil locations
  • Manage all routing modifications to ensure business is utilizing equipment and staff efficiently
  • Continually asses the service level and provide recommendations to manager regarding opportunities to improve operational performance.
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators and cost factors impacting the DEF business
  • Effectively communicate with customers and account managers on a regular basis
  • Promote and monitor employee safety
  • Organize and schedule all necessary resources required to accomplish DEF delivery
  • Set and monitor productivity, service and safety targets for each route driver
  • Monitor daily truck revenue goals
 
Position Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Warehouse Management Experience (min 3 years)
  • Supervisory experience in a warehouse setting (min 3 yrs)
  • Delivery routing and scheduling experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of shipping, receiving and inventory processes
  • Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations
  • General Computer skills including Microsoft Office products
  • Good written, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Effective at time management and the ability to prioritize
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Quick learner with an ability to adapt
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
