JOB SUMMARY
Provide management support services to ensure that construction workmanship is being performed in accordance with construction contract documents.

JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate requests from the Construction Contractor for outage requests, excavation permits, burn permits, haul routes and other similar items.
  • Attend Meetings, conferences, and briefings and take notes for the contracting officer representative.
  • Develop Quality Assurance Plans.
  • Monitor field activities and performance which will include Quality Control (QC) activities; Site Safety and Health Management; compliance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), and local laws.
  • Technical Review of Contractor Production Reports.
  • Maintain working files by construction contract of all reports, correspondence, etc., generated as result of the contract.
  • Recommend technical advice on critical issues and provide cost estimates for specified construction activities.
  • Coordinate field activities.
  • Schedule pre-final and final inspections and coordinate with Contractor Quality Control Manager, Construction Manager, and supported command client for validation and acceptance.
  • Assist conducting pre-final inspections.
  • Recommending Payment of Construction Invoices & Pre-Final Inspections.
  • Take progress and completion photographs.
  • Monitor construction Contractor field maintenance of as-built drawings.
 
Position Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Journeyman electrician or journeyman plumber current license.
  • As an option to the license, the candidate shall have at least 7 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Technician, Quality Control Manager, Superintendent, or Project Manager on multi-disciplined projects greater than $1million.
  • Specialized training for Construction Quality Verification or completed an equivalent course.
  • Completed 30 Hour OSHA Construction Training within the past 2 years.
  • Competent computer skills for network data entry.
  • Proficiency in using computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Average agility and dexterity.
  • CSET will be required to perform duties that involve moderate walking over rough terrain, periodic climbing, standing, lifting, and crouching.
  • U.S. Citizenship. A valid driver’s license.
