Facilities Engineer

Responsible for the performance of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and general trades maintenance throughout facility

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

  • Provides excellent Guest Service

  • Puts Safety first on all projects

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems.

  • Re-lamp facility as required including parking lot fixtures.

  • Complete work orders.

  • Install new layouts for gambling devices and tables as required.

  • Walk daily shift tours and make repairs and adjustments as required.

  • Install or re-direct electrical circuits as needed.

  • Perform shift log sheet inspections and documentations.

  • Perform preventive maintenance assignments for equipment as scheduled.

Position Requirements


  • High School Diploma/G.E.D or relevant experience

  • Three to five years experience in facility maintenance and operations.

  • Must be fully skilled in at least four (4) technical areas:

    • Air Conditioning

    • Refrigeration

    • Electrical

    • Plumbing

    • Electronics

    • Temperature Controls

    • General Trades

    • Diesel powered pumping systems

    • Domestic water production to NIH standards

    • Fire suppression systems and sprinklers

    • Kitchen equipment and small appliances

    • Light gauge metal and fabrication.

      Note: EPA certification is required to be qualified for air conditioning and refrigeration repair, and validated capability with high voltage is required to be qualified for work on 3 phase 480 volt electrical power systems.



To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis.


Work is performed inside and outside in all weather conditions.  Work is performed in small and confining areas, such as attics, and high areas, such as catwalks.  Work is performed in areas which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and dimly lit.  Work entails chemical usage. Must be able to work in a noisy and/or smoky environment.
