STR is a privately-owned, rapidly growing business focused on research and development (R&D) for the defense and intelligence communities. STR has approximately 200 employees at sites in Woburn, MA, Dayton, OH and Arlington, VA. We are a nationally recognized leader in research areas including data analytics, sensors and signal processing, electronic warfare, cyber, video and image understanding, command and control, and precision navigation. Several programs have transitioned advanced technology to military and intelligence users. While our primary focus is on serving US Government customers, we are pursuing commercial applications as well.

Job Description:

  • Monitoring, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on program financials on various programs varying in size and complexity
  • Collaborating with Program Managers, Technical Group staff, and Contracts
  • Works with Contracts and the Technical teams to manage subcontractors relative to funding requirements, estimating sub spend plans and other program related impacts
  • Completion and accurate submission of customer financial deliverables (i.e., Funds and Man-Hours Expenditure Report, Contract Funds Status Report, Financial Status Report, etc.)
  • Attends and prepares for monthly meetings with the Technical team, Contracts, and Finance to review the status of each program within the group portfolio
  • Assists in providing staffing guidance to the team based on approved labor plans
  • Assists in updating program EAC and forecasts for Technical Group
  • Perform special projects as assigned
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance (US Citizen)
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to make decisions with sound judgement while complying with policies and procedures
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
