We currently service the Mid-Atlantic region with customers throughout New Jersey, Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia. We have an annual fuel volume of over 800 million gallons. The Fuel Dispatcher is responsible for collecting inventory data from our costumers and generate order entries into dispatch software. Using such date, the dispatcher will create delivery routes that keep cost down but meet our customer needs. Assign loads and dispatch drivers to make deliveries to customers on time. Update & make changes to delivery routes and schedules as conditions warrant. Our facility is operated 24/7, 365 days a year. To be considered you must be able to multi-task, have excellent customer service skills and have an excellent attendance record. Job Duties include, but not limited to the following: - Assist driver via telephone with route changes and deliver schedules
- Ensure proper use of resources from all Carriers dispatched.
- Maintain & update dispatch software from a user perspective to include administration and assist with training of new employees on processes.
- Cost control awareness; ensure productivity among drivers, report opportunities for improvement.
- Work with Terminal Manager to ensure the best use of resources.
- Emergency response & incident documentation of delivery issues.
- Ensure employees transmit customer billing information accurately and on time.
- Work around Supply interruptions to minimize impact to customer.
- Use of GPS system to track deliveries and drivers.
