The Roman Catholic Diocese of Cleveland was founded on April 23, 1847. Under the leadership of the Most Reverend Nelson J. Perez, Bishop of Cleveland, it is the twenty-third largest Diocese in the United States. The Diocese encompasses the counties of Cuyahoga, Summit, Lorain, Lake, Geauga, Medina, Wayne and Ashland. There are more than 692,000 Catholics in the Diocese, and Catholic Charities- Diocese of Cleveland is one of the largest diocesan systems of social services in the world. There are 185 parishes, 114 Catholic schools, 1 pastoral center and 1 mission office within the Diocese. The cathedral is the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, located in downtown Cleveland.
The Diocese of Cleveland Facilities Services Corporation (DCFSC) functions as a facilities services resource for the more than two hundred (200) Diocesan locations including parishes, schools, Catholic Charities program sites and other properties that house the sacramental, ministerial, educational and charitable activities of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. In this role, DCFSC works in partnership with Diocesan entities in providing leadership and expertise in planning, budgeting, construction management, maintenance and renovation.
The Director of Facilities Management and Capital Projects is primarily responsible to develop, plan, and coordinate facility-related and capital construction projects; and to provide technical facilities expertise for the properties within the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. The position will report to and also support the Executive Director.

Combination of education and experience normally represented by a bachelor's degree with 7-10 years’ experience in facilities and/or construction management.
Strong project management, analytical, presentation, communication, and organizational skills. Solid understanding of construction project and facilities management, finance and budgeting principles.
Must have working knowledge of construction techniques and methods, and materials required to build objects, structures, and buildings; and maintenance and repair of same.
Must have working knowledge of Ohio Basic Building Code.
Experience in working with professional services vendors and contract management.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively and productively work with and support people of diverse economic, cultural, and administrative backgrounds.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other office software in common use.
Strong detail orientation, the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Valid Ohio Driver's License and reliable means of transportation for travel within the 8 counties of the Diocese.
