ROHADFOX is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, with regional offices throughout the United States.   Description Electrical Field Inspector-Systems You will perform Field Inspection activities on Systems Communications installation and construction projects in a mass transit heavy rail and bus environment. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE: Monitor all on site activities, verify and ensure quality of materials, workmanship and products. Maintain daily records of work activities and conditions at the job site. Review and comment on clients Contract Documents for future projects where time and expertise permit. Provide quantity verifications for progress payments. Attend job-related meetings as appropriate. Assure that safety and quality on the assigned projects is maintained. Performs other related duties as assigned.   Position Requirements Associate's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Engineering Technology or related field; relevant experience will be considered. A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience working on construction, remodeling, or retrofitting projects under the supervision of an Engineer or Architect or on projects within the general infrastructure environment such as transit systems elements, track, electrical, mechanical, civil, structural equipment, etc. Certifications as required by OSHA and the Authority's Safety Compliance. - Maintain the authority's Safety Compliance including the Transit Authority's Wayside Certification. Considerable knowledge of procedures relative to work flow of the Transit Authority's Program Office. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations. Well-developed verbal, written, analytical, problem solving and planning skills. Ability to read and comprehend written materials such as: construction plans, specifications, safety cautions/warnings, maps, operating instructions and procedures; Ability to learn and understand the Transit Authority's Red Tag wayside procedures. Ability to perform duties as a flag person (days/nights/weekends) while conducting onsite inspections of construction activity in the wayside area or the platform area. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Thorough knowledge of appropriate engineering terminology and practices. Working knowledge of building, electrical, mechanical, codes and their specific requirements, and compliance practices. Knowledge of engineering and architectural plans and drawings. Knowledgeable in the areas of Microsoft Word and Excel.
