Located in Phoenix, AZ the Credentialing Specialist is responsible for credentialing, re-credentialing and maintaining providers with state Medicaid, health plans and Arizona’s managed care organizations. In addition, this specialist will act as a contract administrator and maintain the internal contract database in accordance with internal policies and procedures. Must be able to establish good working relationships with provider reps., Program Managers and Finance Team.

Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Obtains necessary documents to move the providers and facilities through the credentialling & contracting process
  • Monitors and coordinates additions, changes, and terminations for affiliated contracts.
  • Ensures provider and facility documentation compliance
  • Assists with contractual language and reimbursement rate negotiations

Position Requirements

Our Ideal Candidate:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
• Three (3) years of experience in an account, operational or contract management/administration position perferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
• Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 39-month history check
• Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)
• Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)
• Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
