Description

Boundless, a community mental health agency serving Central Ohio and the surrounding areas, offering a variety of services designed to support the ongoing needs of our community. Offerings include customized and integrated care that combines behavioral counseling and therapy, pharmacological management, center-based educational service, speech therapy and other mental health services under one umbrella to help our consumers across all ages to achieve the best outcomes in school, home and work.

Summary/Objective

Primary job responsibilities include supervising and managing clinical staff providing behavioral health services through the outpatient clinic at Boundless Behavioral Health. Working with parents/guardians, clinical staff, and community-based resources, the Clinical Manager facilitates access to care and addresses barriers. This position reports to the Lead Clinical Manager, and works closely with all other departments. This is a full-time, salaried position.

Essential Functions

  • Identifies and assesses psychosocial and life skills needs through analysis of factors impinging on client adjustment including factors in the home, center and community.
  • Completes psychosocial assessments to assist in the determination of center-based services.
  • Determines and implements appropriate therapeutic strategies to effect changes in behavioral-social interactions of clients and their families.
  • Provides individual and group therapeutic counseling to clients and their families.
  • Provides parent/guardian educational workshops on identified issues related to child development, stress reduction, discipline and safety, and teacher/parent/client communication.
  • Initiates collaboration and consultation on behavioral-emotional-environmental issues affecting client participation in the learning process with the client’s supervisor(s) in implementing strategies to promote client learning during counseling sessions.
  • Conducts staff development on issues related to social-emotional-environmental factors that impact treatment with a strong focus on evidence based intervention.
  • Provides training and clinical supervision to LSWs seeking independent licensure in either a group or individual setting.
  • Manages daily functioning of the outpatient clinic including staff and room schedules and assigning referrals.
  • Works closely with Intake department, psychiatry team and psychology team to promote coordination of care and integration of clinical services.
  • Maintains all required clinical records and submits appropriate documents for statistical reports with adherence to program standards in social work.
  • Attends meetings and professional development activities as required.
  • Monitors budget and productivity for staff.
  • Supports the growth and development of clinical services and integration of services across the agency.
  • All other assigned duties.

    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

    • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, demonstrating professionalism with both co-workers and parents and consumers
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to stay focused
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
    • Demonstrated clinical knowledge of children and adults with co-occurring developmental disorder and complex behavioral health issues
    • Clinical supervisory experience
    • Must be able to show tact and diplomacy when dealing with parents, clients, peers and staff

     
    Position Requirements

    Education Requirments:

    • Master’s Degree in Social Work
    • Independent Licensure with Supervisor Designation (LISW-S) with the State of Ohio.

    Additional Eligibility Qualifications

    • Must be able to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with residents, staff and support agencies.
    • Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, emotionally upset and at times hostile people within the programs.
    • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
