Job Summary

The Strategic Account Manager creates, grows, and maintains relationships with strategically selected large customers and is responsible for achieving sales quotas and assigned strategic account objectives. This position represents the entire range of CSC products including Itasca, Waukegan, and any future markets defined as strategic. Account Manager will be expected to travel as needed nationally and internationally, approximately 50%-75% of the month. National territory will cover from the Midwest to the East Coast but may incur international travel.

 
Position Requirements
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including program management, support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
  • Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for short and long-term booking targets.
  • Serves as the account leader for customer account planning and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company.
  • Achieves assigned sales quota in designated strategic accounts while meeting expectations for profitability. Primary defining benchmarks include bookings and gross margin on bookings.
  • Achieves strategic customer objectives defined by company management.
  • Other duties & functions may be assigned to this position as needed.
  • Working knowledge of ISO/9001/14000 and AS9100 processes.

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of related industry experience in aerospace business-to business sales environment.
  • Exceptional Customer-Facing communication skills, and experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large and small accounts.
  • Ability to travel at short notice to address customer issues.
  • Strong presentation skills and an ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in all MS Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
