Field Geologist - Tempe, AZ

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Staff Scientist will play a role in ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Entry level position, primarily field work.
  • Abide by ATC's health and safety policies and procedures.
Position Requirements

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or related earth/environmental science.
  • A valid driver’s license

Desired qualifications:

  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented; organizational skills.
  • Preference for proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including word processing, spreadsheet and data entry skills.
  • Team-oriented with strong organization skills and excellent communication skills to be a part of our Water Resources and Environmental Departments.
  • Possess physical strength, stamina and dexterity for repeatedly lifting and moving, stooping, bending and working in varying weather conditions at various remote sites.
  • Ability to understand directions and execute assignments, operate a company vehicle, work outdoors, communicate effectively with peers, willing to take on new assignments and ensure their completion within scope and budget in a safe manner.
  • Ability to work as a solid contributor in a team environment.
