Work is to be accomplished for 81st Medical Group, Keelser AFB, MS. CHCS is a VMS-based relational database used by all United States and OCONUS military health care centers. CHCS is module based: RAD (radiology), LAB (Laboratory), PHR (Pharmacy), PAS (Patient Appointing & Scheduling), MCP (Managed Care Program; used to support TRICARE enrollees by enrolling them to Primary Care Managers), PAD (Patient Administration): MRT (Medical Records Tracking), MSA (Medical Service Accounting) medical billing, WAM (Workload Assignment Module), DTS (Dietetics), CLN (Clinical: Nursing, Physician, and Allied Health), DAA (Database Administration), ADM (Ambulatory Data Module) Medical Coding of outpatient visits and TOOLS (FileMan). Writing, developing and maintaining customized programs (routines) in the M (formerly Mumps) programming language Develop ad hoc databases queries utilizing MUMPS statements, Boolean expressions, and Fileman Make modifications and updates in support of CHCS applications and software Familiar with Cache utilities, locks and lock tables, and how CHCS uses them Ad hoc reporting; code custom reports using CHCS files and data dictionaries Debugging Cache routines; must be knowledgeable of the AHLTA System and how data flows between that system and CHCS Knowledgeable of other interfaces - DII (Data Innovations system which controls Lab instruments), PYXIS (pharmacy Rx dispenser), and Essentris (In-patient tracker) and how they interact with CHCS and AHLTA. Designing, developing, and validating database solutions using relational data models in order to present relevant information in a concise manner; ensuring database integrity and accuracy Provide implementation assistance to facility staff in an effort to effectively utilize CHCS and proficiently manage electronic medical records   Position Requirements Bachelors’ degree in Computer or Information Science, or related technical field(s), desired. One year of related work experience with computer systems and applications. Extensive (3 years) working experience in CHCS software support, Virtual Memory System (VMS) and Mumps programming. CHCS functionalities such as, Laboratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, PAS, PAD, and Managed Care Provider. Some experience is required with hardware in support of the CHCS and other MHS systems. Extensive (3 years) Advanced experience with Fileman and Taskman. Familiarity with data base management, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Digital Standard Mumps.
