Summary
Manages and coordinates functions of the Quality Control Department within the FAA repair station, ensuring that all work performed complies with applicable technical data, FAA regulations, Repair Station Manual (RSM), and Quality Control Manual (QCM) as well as ensuring the technical data and procedure manuals are reviewed as current and available. Primary inspector for all FAA repair work including issuance of 8130 and associated documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for all activities assigned to designated inspector program and rosters. Ensures that all inspections are properly performed and that the proper inspection records, reports, and forms used by the repair station are properly executed prior to the release of Extant products for return to service.
Possesses and applies complete working knowledge of company RSM procedures and FAA/EASA Regulations. Ensure that determinations concerning major alterations/repairs are accomplished as delineated in the RSM.
Responsible for the content, quality and execution of the Parts and Material Control process. Ensures that rejected, unserviceable and scrap parts are handled properly to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts.
Conducts internal audits at scheduled intervals to ensure continuous compliance and identify areas of opportunity.
Be cognizant of overall mission and goals of the department and company at all times and make the best decisions for the betterment of the entire organization whether independent of or dependent on direction from leadership.

Education and Experience

Must have a thorough understanding of the current Part 145 Federal Aviation Regulations, ISO9000, AS9100, AS9110, as well as inspection methods, techniques, and equipment used to determine the quality or airworthiness of an article undergoing maintenance, repair or overhaul. At least five years aviation quality experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft office suite, FAA research; knowledge of Epicor is a plus.
