Then Devereux has just the opportunity for you! We are looking for full-time Assistant Supervisor to join our team at our new Enhanced Behavioral Home program. This position is located in the Santa Barbara, CA area. As an Assistant Supervisor, you will provide services to adult individuals with multiple diagnoses such as, autism spectrum disorders, extreme behavioral challenges, mental disorders, and other cognitive disorders in residential setting. Devereux's mission is to change lives and nurture human potential.

This new home will be hub of a new independent life for the individuals who will live there. The house is designed to promote opportunities for community inclusion, and to support each person with a high quality of life. The supports that will be provided will be current and evidence based, specifically tailored to support individuals with Autism.

In addition to Direct Support Professional responsibilities, the Assistant Supervisor is responsible for the following:

· Management of petty cash funds

· Staff scheduling and allocation per established staff/client ratios

· Maintains, collects (from assigned staff) and enters all PSR compliance data

· Oversees accurate and timely collection of client data by Direct Support Professional IIs per individual client goals and objectives

· Enters data into electronic health system

· Manages curriculum materials

· Creates milieu support, schedules, and other materials

· Must have the ability to work with individuals with moderate to severe challenging behaviors

· Other duties as assigned by Program Administrator.

· Must have availability to work varied hours/shifts, including weekends.

Position Requirements

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred. Must be certified or willing to obtain Registered Behavioral Technician certification within 60-days of hire. Must obtain Direct Support Professional Year 1 and Year 2 Certification within first year of employment.

EXPERIENCE: Must have a minimum of 1-year of experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities, 2 years preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches
