Share Email Opening Title Charter Dispatcher - Night/Weekend  Location Lansing, MI - Trailways   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Pay Rate   Shift Nights   Close Date   Description GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Answering Inbound / Making Outbound calls. Assigning drivers and vehicles to trips. Producing work tickets for drivers. Checking in vehicles for inspection. Assisting with pre/post trips as needed. Assisting wash bay staff to prepare vehicles for trips. Driving as needed.   Position Requirements GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS Read, write and speak English fluently. The ability to speak a foreign language would be advantageous. Complete all required paperwork legibly, neatly, and in a timely manner. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Three years of OTR motor coach driving experience required, one year dispatch experience preferred. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) compliance requirements. Must possess or be able to obtain current, valid Class B CDL License. Ability to work Thursday-Sunday night shift, 9pm-5am. Proficiency in computer use and applications which support dispatch services. DOT Physical, DOT Pre-employment Drug Screen and Motor Vehicle Records Check required. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Able to work well with a team. Able to occasionally manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, constantly changing, high demand work environment during emergency situations (e.g. break downs, driver illness). Possesses strong problem solving skills. Able to work independently, motivated by daily challenges. Possesses excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and follow through.   This position is currently not accepting applications.
