The Event IT Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the information technology systems throughout the event season of the Magical Forest. The incumbent will be the main point of contact for technological support during events. This position requires flexible hours; nights and weekends are a must.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  2. Reinforce and positively engage in Opportunity Village’s organizational culture supporting choice and creativity of OVIPs (Opportunity Village Important People) and of staff.
  3. Manage all IT aspects of the Magical Forest events.
  4. Main point of contact for troubleshooting technical issues with vendors, staff and customers.
  5. Sets up and breaks down equipment for events.
  6. Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers, vendors, and business community; provides a high quality of customer service.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, co-workers and supervisors (verbal and written).
  • Must possess social perceptiveness to assess and understand others reactions and behaviors.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Business acumen.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Required: One - three years' work experience in IT.
  • Preferred: Experience with events.
