Position summary: The Quality Assurance Inspector will maintain quality standards by performing inspections and audits, documenting the outcome of all. Assist in the continued improvement of the quality, production and safety system. 15 Working Days per Month!!! 12 hour shifts 6am-6pm Every other weekend is required   Position Requirements Qualifications required: Prior Inspection experience in Quality Assurance Quality oriented -* Attention to detail - Organized and thorough Good communication skills Excel, Visio and QI Macro’s knowledge a plus Essential functions and responsibilities: Responsible for the Safety and security of products Confirming manufacturing process to documented processes Approves in-process production by confirming Product specifications; conformation of labeling and packaging, communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests Lead containment activities when sub-par product is found, containing products for rework; confirming re-work completion Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs after conducting visual and measurement tests; inputting data into quality database Ability to use caliper, micrometer and other test equipment Conduct Inspections and testing on incoming materials Participates in various continuous improvement activities Report any potential food safety, quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel Follow all documented * Good *Manufacturing *Practices Must follow all company policies and procedures Monitors the measuring equipment for correct usage; re-training on correct use when necessary; notifying Quality Assurance Supervisor of needed repairs Non-essential skills and experience: Other duties as required This is a non-exempt position; the Quality Assurance Inspector will earn time and a half during overtime hours worked.
