Coordinator, Relocation Sales

SUMMARY: Consults with customers and records interview information into computer for customer service and coordinates activities with sales representatives by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Talk with customers by phone or in person;

  2. Receive orders by phone from contact person at national account and coordinate the move with the shipper;

  3. May coordinate COD shipment as well;

  4. Coordinate move with other Atlas Agents;

  5. Mail out information packet to shipper and or accounts;

  6. Check with account and shipper on any questionable items or service to be moved or performed;

  7. Processes claim by forwarding to appropriate department;

  8. Coordinate dates with local and long distance dispatch and keep them apprised of any cancellation or date changes;

  9. Enters orders into Move Magic data base system and updates shipper file as information is received;

  10. Computes estimates for shipper or account;

  11. Coordinates 3rd party services, such as connecting appliances and crating grandfather clocks, etc.;

  12. Request and review survey information and enter survey result in the database;

  13. Keep Account updates on status of move;

  14. Solicit sale of new or additional services;

  15. Address complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation;

  16. May provide reception/switchboard relief coverage, as needed;

  17. Other duties may be assigned.

 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: One year certificate from college or technical school; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to compose and prepare correspondence; ability to effectively present information to small groups; to one-on-one situations; to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
