The Supplier Performance Manager is responsible for the management of selected suppliers that supply goods and/or services to our organization. The Supplier Performance Manager will functionally report to the VP Supply Chain of Dassault Aviation in a newly created organization to improve the global performance of Dassault Aviation's suppliers in North America. While responsible for under-performing suppliers, he/she will manage the action plan, recovery plans and improvement plans that will have to be put in place with those suppliers. In addition, he/she will be responsible for the compilation of the supply chain data for reporting towards Dassault Aviation and related entities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience managing vendor/suppliers.
Responsibilities
Manages the global supply chain relationship with suppliers in terms of industrial capability & performance consistently with Dassault Aviation's industrial, support and program needs; Alerts the Planning Agent, Program Procurement Coordinator and/or Buyer when a problem occurs
- Initiates supplier supply chain diagnostics and/or on-request mission analysis
- Conducts new supplier assessment and approval process
- Manages supplier improvement and action plans as needed
- Supports the Supply Chain Buyer on supply chain terms & conditions definition
- Negotiates with suppliers regarding capabilities and performance for procured products and part returns (for upgrading, Repairs and overhauls)
- Significant domestic travel (up to 50%) as well as international trips to France, as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in business administration - Supply Chain major is preferred
- Five years of relevant Supply Chain experience, preferably in aerospace industry.
- Solid understanding of global supply chain functions and its related components
- Advanced knowledge of Excel required including the use of v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.
- Proven knowledge of production and manufacturing principles and processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational, time-management and planning skills
- Demonstrated analytical and project management skills
- Team player with a receptive disposition, and a desire to contribute to the success of the supply chain operation
- Master's degree in Supply Chain preferred
- Prior aerospace and defense experience preferred
- Prior experience or use of Lean/Six Sigma principles preferred
