Geauga and Lake Counties' Help Me Grow Home Visiting Program is a voluntary program that gives pregnant women and families the necessary resources and skills to raise children who are physically, socially, and emotionally healthy to learn. The goals of the program are to 1. Improve maternal and child health. 2. Prevent child abuse and neglect. 3. Encourage positive parenting; and 4. Promote child development and school readiness.
The Home Visitor will ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland. The Home Visitor will work with young mom's and their babies to promote healthy child development and bonding between mother and child. This position is responsible for determining eligibility of families for the program; completing home visits, develop goals and facilitate parenting education activities. May also act as an advocate for program and clients.
